With solutions like smart thermostats, it’s getting easier and easier to save money on utilities. You can lower your power when you are not in the house. For instance, when you go to work or your kids are at school. You can also do this at night when everybody is safely squished in their beds. 

Also, turn off any technology and appliances when not in use. For instance, computers, TVs, lights, and so on.  Ensure that all of your family members do that as well. Target “phantom” energy consumption, which refers to the power that gadgets, especially appliances, use when “sleeping” yet are still plugged in. This is a very easy yet great way of saving on bills.
